One of our drives to Washington state included a tour around the Olympic Peninsula. Getting to see Ruby Beach along the way was a treat.
In late 2016, we took our yearly trip to Pike Place for our holiday shopping and sightseeing. Nick let me know that there’s a small yarn shop upstairs. I didn’t have too many projects in need of yarn, but will not resist a chance to visit a new LYS. The warm, welcoming atmosphere was the first thing I noticed walking in. So Much Yarn felt like a combination chill spot for knitters to sit, knit, and chat, and spot to sample and buy yarn. Within minutes I felt toasty and right at home.
We had a little weekend getaway trip to Oxnard, CA, just an hour’s drive west from home.
Some moments from our escape down toward Encinitas.
I ended last year with a dog walk through some Renton woods with family. The smell of moss never fails to take me out of myself. What scenery grounds you?
